It\u2019s been awhile, but I\u2019m back.\u00a0 <\/span>No, I didn\u2019t fall off the roof, no, I didn\u2019t get scared away by a boogie man, no, I didn\u2019t run off with my secretary\u2026 I don\u2019t even have one\u2026\u00a0 <\/span>But I did get to spend some time with my daughter and her husband and my twin 2 year old and one 3 \u00bd year old grandsons in Wisconsin.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s been way too long since I saw them.\u00a0 <\/span>Tremendous kids!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So Chloe has had to take up the slack on the blog and it looks like she has been having fun and doing a great job.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve known Chloe more than four years now, and now I\u2019m getting to know a new Chloe all over again.\u00a0 <\/span>Coming through what she has come through is bound to change anyone, and she is no exception.\u00a0 <\/span>What I see most of all is her self worth has grown immensely.\u00a0 <\/span>Last year, especially, I noticed a little girl who was intimidated and scared by many kids in her school.\u00a0 <\/span>Time will tell, but I think we will see a whole new, exciting, side of her this year.\u00a0 <\/span>She\u2019s beefed up her body and she\u2019s beefed up her spirit.\u00a0 <\/span>If anyone tries to rock her boat I hope they are ready to get wet.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday was special for Chloe and the people at church.\u00a0 <\/span>Many had not seen her since before the operation, and they were surprised to see how great she looks.\u00a0 <\/span>Her smiles, hugs, laughs and overall energy is so different that they are simply floored.\u00a0 <\/span>She still has her tube in but you\u2019d hardly know.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s just another part of her face right now.\u00a0 <\/span>Sure, she\u2019d love to have it gone, but it doesn\u2019t make her the least bit self-conscious.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Today I made a return trip to the house to bring something over that I forgot.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe came running up the stairs, slipped, and said a word that cost her 25 cents in the \u201cwoops fund.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>She was pretty embarrassed that I heard it and called her on it.\u00a0 <\/span>She\u2019s fun to tease though.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dana, Sandy, Chloe and Colin spent the weekend together as I was still with the kids.\u00a0 <\/span>So they went to the coast and flew kites.\u00a0 <\/span>They also found out how good the blueberry cobbler is at Kylos\u2019 restaurant.\u00a0 <\/span>The next day they went to the \u201cfree\u201d state fair.\u00a0 <\/span>From what I hear the only thing that is free is the entrance.\u00a0 <\/span>Everything else you need to dig deep for.\u00a0 <\/span>Good thing it\u2019s only once a year.\u00a0 <\/span>They did dress up for an old time western picture that sure is fun.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s close to school starting so we are all in grand anticipation of the removal of the tube!\u00a0 <\/span>It would be wonderful if she could start school without a tape face.\u00a0 <\/span>Everything is pointing to this becoming a reality.\u00a0 <\/span>We\u2019ll be celebrating that day.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe wants to keep her tube as a souvenir.\u00a0 <\/span>Humm, interesting\u2026<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
