Today didn\u2019t produce the results we were hoping for at the doctor\u2019s office.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe has been off feeds for a 10-day trail\u2026 and she lost 3 pounds.\u00a0 <\/span>Bummer!!!\u00a0 <\/span>We were so hoping the tube would be out but this is not to be.\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, we will be back on all night feeds again and soon be upping her meals to five per day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The trooper she is, there were a few tears but it was not hard for her to understand the situation.\u00a0 <\/span>She will deal with it as she has all the past inconveniences.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dana seemed to take it harder than Chloe, but she too, is bouncing back.\u00a0 <\/span>Periacton and feeds are the course now.\u00a0 <\/span>Stimulate her appetite and throw the calories to her while she\u2019s asleep.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe was matter of fact about it all when she told me on the phone tonight.\u00a0 <\/span>Then she said she wasn\u2019t surprised because she hasn\u2019t done too well with breakfast lately and the other two meals \u201cI did \u2026 okay.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>This just tells me she knows the goal and will go after it with zeal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m hoping that because she gained so much weight in such a short period of time that much of that weight was fluid.\u00a0 <\/span>Fluid weight is the first to go in any exercise program so maybe her body is just adjusting to all these changes.\u00a0 <\/span>Maybe it\u2019s just saying, hang on guys; I\u2019m trying to find my norm.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Calorie count is key right now, the dietician wants 1400 per day.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s very doable.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Laura, our good friend from church, brought a Peach Cobbler over.\u00a0 <\/span>Great timing.\u00a0 <\/span>I understand I\u2019m even getting a taste tomorrow.\u00a0 <\/span>Yum!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Another perk was a letter Chloe received from one of her Harry Potter club girls.\u00a0 <\/span>She is in Japan on vacation so hasn\u2019t been available to come over yet.\u00a0 <\/span>Those three girls are very close.\u00a0 <\/span>Looking forward to seeing them all together again soon.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Patty, Jake’s mom,\u00a0showed up for a surprise visit, as\u00a0she\u00a0was in the area.\u00a0 She brought Harry Potter #6 for Chloe and said #7 is on the way.\u00a0 Reading a book of 500+ pages is a huge feat for a 9 year old, but finishing multiple 500+ books is something I wish I had been encouraged to do at that age.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Too bad Chloe was out walking Ivey at the wrong time.\u00a0 <\/span>They have become such good friends.\u00a0 <\/span>Dove Lewis Animal Hospital is also a place Chloe has decided she wants to start her donations to.\u00a0 <\/span>She was very happy to hear she will be getting a tour of the facility soon.\u00a0 <\/span>And Laura is going to bring her on a field trip to a Kitty Rescue.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe\u2019s good friends have some newborn kittens so she was all over that news.\u00a0 <\/span>And, of course, she is bugging Dana for a kitten.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m just afraid it might become a snack for Ivey.\u00a0 <\/span>Ulgh.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Tonight was a night of nerf guns and how can we drive Ivey crazy.\u00a0 <\/span>Sounds like they succeeded in many ways.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana is trying hard to get the routines back to satisfactory.\u00a0 <\/span>Getting the kids to do their jobs during the day has been a challenge, but with some very rigid instructions and expectations laid out today we are hoping for some positive results.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s special to see we still have viewers in good numbers on the blog.\u00a0 <\/span>Knowing your support remains strong is more helpful than you can know.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
