Well now, today started out interesting.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana went to work even though she is trying like mad to feel better after a couple weeks of being run down.\u00a0 <\/span>Wonder what was on her mind to rob her of her energy\u2026.\u00a0 <\/span>Then, at noon, she called to let me know that she had to pick Chloe up from school, as she was sick.\u00a0 <\/span>Upset stomach, coughing, headache, and no energy.\u00a0 <\/span>Humm\u2026 wonder where all this came from.\u00a0 <\/span>Think we could all be passing it along to each other?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So Dana wasn\u2019t sure what was going to happen about the doctor\u2019s appointment designed to read the MRI.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cWorst case scenario is you might be there alone\u201d she told me.\u00a0 <\/span>It would depend on how Chloe was later.\u00a0 <\/span>She wanted to go, that\u2019s for sure.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Driving into the parking lot I saw Dana\u2019s car so I knew I wouldn\u2019t be alone.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you God.\u00a0 <\/span>I didn\u2019t want that.\u00a0 <\/span>They had just been called to the back room when I walked in, so we went for vitals, etc.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe was 57 pounds and about 53 inches but don\u2019t quote me on the actual height.\u00a0 <\/span>She was bounding around like she was in perfect health though so it was obvious whatever was bothering her earlier was gone for now.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The IV nurse, Susan, who did a few of Chloe\u2019s tubes was there and came to say hi.\u00a0 <\/span>She went off the record and said, \u201cher scans look good.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Dana tried to pull more from her but that didn\u2019t fly.\u00a0 <\/span>However, soon Dr. Olsen came in and called us to look at the MRI shots.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe had not seen the original and now she was able to see the difference as well.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cNo significant change, stable.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s what the report shows.\u00a0 <\/span>The shots looked good.\u00a0 <\/span>I couldn\u2019t see any enlargement of the tumor at all.\u00a0 <\/span>To say we were relieved was an understatement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Olsen also plotted Chloe on the growth and weight charts where she placed in the twenty-five percentile for her age.\u00a0 <\/span>Very good!\u00a0 <\/span>This is where I\u2019d expect from a girl who came from a smaller framed family.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Next was our visit to the 3rd<\/sup> floor where Chloe and Dana spent so much time.\u00a0 <\/span>They bought the \u201cMama Mia\u201d DVD for the floor.\u00a0 <\/span>It was like old home week with all the nurses and helpers very surprised to see how well Chloe looked.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe was excited to see everyone as well and talked her way into a tour of \u201cher floor.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>I left them to their tour, as I had to get home to students.\u00a0 <\/span>It isn\u2019t hard to imagine her smile as she walked around the area she was so limited in just a little over a half year ago.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We know you were praying for us and it shows.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you for being there.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
