This roller coaster ride is not any fun! <\/span>We get good news and then things go south really quick. <\/span>The temperature and nausea is back. <\/span>So is her lack of interest in doing anything. <\/span>It\u2019s a very depressed sense we have been seeing in her lately.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Although the nurses and all of us tell her she is doing better I don\u2019t think she has any belief in it at all. <\/span>Then she hears a little tidbit that she may be facing another surgery in the future and she completely backs away. <\/span>\u201cI never want another surgery, ever!\u201d <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t say as I blame her and I would have to be convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was the way we should proceed before I\u2019d feel any comfort around that decision as well.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe had a rough night and morning. <\/span>The nurses were slammed last night with oncology kids and their beeping machines. <\/span>So Dana was Nurse Mama most of the night. <\/span>In the morning Chloe vomited again. <\/span>One step forward, two back. <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The nurses got her up a couple times today for short periods. <\/span>She\u2019s required to sit in the chair even if she won\u2019t be eating the meals that are brought to her. <\/span>She needs to be upright to avoid pneumonia. <\/span>That\u2019s all she would need.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I wasn\u2019t there today so what I have been told by Dana is what you will be getting. <\/span>Dana finally was relieved of duty at about 3:30 pm by Aunt Laura. <\/span>Dave takes over at 10:00 pm and Dana may just get a good night\u2019s sleep tonight at home, with Ivey. <\/span>She fell asleep on her hammock earlier and slept three hours! <\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All in all the day for Chloe was a mix, but more frustrating than not. <\/span>We need her temps to go down, her food to stay down, her pain to go away and for her to start eating meals rather than just getting her nutrition through a tube in her nose. <\/span>Benign was fine but the remaining tumor is still in the worst possible place it could be. <\/span>This may be what\u2019s causing the continued problem, we just don\u2019t know. <\/span>We do know it can\u2019t stay there and we will need to find a way to get rid of it for good. <\/span>So, ramp up the prayers, seeing her brain stem clear of all things that don\u2019t belong.<\/span><\/p>\n
