So much went on today it will probably be easier to write about.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe woke up, after a very restless night, to vomiting.\u00a0 <\/span>Luckily she kept her tube down this time.\u00a0 <\/span>She didn\u2019t have any food or liquid since midnight but that didn\u2019t stop her floodgates from opening.<\/span><\/p>\n

The doctors came in around 10am and both Dana and Dave were there to hear their reports.\u00a0 <\/span>Of course those reports were that they were all puzzled.\u00a0 <\/span>Why the fever when nothing is growing.\u00a0 <\/span>They did find a little something in the stool sample but not something that would be causing 105 degree temps!\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dana suggested the Pic Line as an invasive object that the body might just see as a threat, sending the soldier white blood cells to fight it, causing a fever.\u00a0 <\/span>Very possible was the response from the doctors.\u00a0 <\/span>So, they are changing all her meds so that they can be taken by mouth.\u00a0 <\/span>They will decide about taking the pic line out when they see how the oral meds are doing.<\/span><\/p>\n

After all was said and done they decided to go ahead with the MRI, however, before that happened they decided on an ultrasound.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe hated this procedure as the as the oaf that did it was not PEEDs material.\u00a0 <\/span>Probably used to working on old guys as he really pushed on her and was, basically rough.\u00a0 <\/span>She doesn\u2019t want another of those.\u00a0 <\/span>It came out fine thank you very much.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then it was off to the MRI.\u00a0 <\/span>We will get results of all the tests in the next couple days.\u00a0 <\/span>While she was in the MRI they decided to do the Spinal Tap while she was asleep.\u00a0 <\/span>So as soon as she came out of the cave they did that.<\/span><\/p>\n

She came back to the room only to find out that they decided to drain the incision site.\u00a0 <\/span>It was off to PICU for this procedure.\u00a0 <\/span>It went well in there and she was back to her room by 5:45 pm.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Everyone was in the doghouse after the MRI though.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe was promised a drink of water but when the draining decision came down it stopped her from getting a drink until after that.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After her second drug nap she woke up and immediately asked for a drink of water.\u00a0 <\/span>She was back!<\/span><\/p>\n

Her temperature was down most of the day and only went up to 100 at night.\u00a0 <\/span>She is back in pretty good spirits, although she is completely wiped out.\u00a0 <\/span>This was one of her longest days.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though she has been here over three weeks she really hasn\u2019t any appetite for phone calls or visitors.\u00a0 <\/span>She doesn\u2019t even talk to us on the phone if she can avoid doing so.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s just too draining I think and there is so much noise that anything can be disconcerting.\u00a0 <\/span>For instance, the phone rang while we were having a doctor\u2019s visit.\u00a0 <\/span>It rang for five or six times before whoever hung up.\u00a0 <\/span>I could see Chloe\u2019s face.\u00a0 <\/span>Trust me, if we can\u2019t get to the phone in two<\/strong> rings we aren\u2019t getting to it.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s really a small room!\u00a0 <\/span>Next time we\u2019re asking for a suite.<\/span><\/p>\n
