Okay, I\u2019m baffled.\u00a0 <\/span>I have no idea why yesterday\u2019s blog did not show up.\u00a0 <\/span>You can read it below if you\u2019d like.\u00a0 <\/span>Cyber something happened I guess.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So here\u2019s the Sunday blog, the one we\u2019ve been waiting for.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe\u2019s home.\u00a0 <\/span>About 3:30 P.M. today Dana was able to bring Chloe back home.\u00a0 <\/span>This now means she is in a much better environment to heal, as far as I\u2019m concerned.\u00a0 <\/span>However, this also means that Dana\u2019s job has really ramped up.\u00a0 <\/span>She will now be nurse, doctor and mom.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe has her rental pump and her new pole.\u00a0 <\/span>She doesn\u2019t particularly like the new pole as it is very light and wants to go where it wants to go, rather than where Chloe would like it to go.\u00a0 <\/span>I told her it just needed a little more weight on it to behave.\u00a0 <\/span>I can see her skateboarding around the house on it anytime now.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We are all happy to have Chloe home but Chloe is pretty sad about leaving her friends and comfort of the hospital.\u00a0 <\/span>She grew attached to the people and the place.\u00a0 <\/span>She\u2019s just that type of person, very caring, very loving, devoted.\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, yesterday when the roving music lady, Dawn, showed up to see if Chloe wanted some music, the answer was yes.\u00a0 <\/span>She wanted Dawn to sing, \u201cA Bad Day.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>She did.\u00a0 <\/span>Then Chloe asked her if she could print the words for her.\u00a0 <\/span>She did that as well.\u00a0 <\/span>Just a few minutes ago, when she exited the bathroom, she asked Dana where the words were to the song.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana gave them to her and she went into her room and began singing the song.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What does this say?\u00a0 <\/span>It says she is good enough to sing.\u00a0 <\/span>It also says she doesn\u2019t consider today as good a day as the rest of us do.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s a pretty good perspective.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

She still has her feeding tube and will have until we are convinced she is able to take in enough calories to gain weight.\u00a0 <\/span>She has gained about five pounds since the operation but that has all been due to the continuous feeding.\u00a0 <\/span>The doctor wants her to look good before we make any changes.\u00a0 <\/span>She is looking better though.\u00a0 <\/span>She has some fullness in her face and her ribs don\u2019t show as much.\u00a0 <\/span>When her arms and legs start showing definition I\u2019ll be much happier.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I asked her if Ivey went bonkers when she came home.\u00a0 <\/span>Her response, \u201cnot as much as when you come over.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Made me feel pretty special.\u00a0 <\/span>The fun part was when Colin came home and saw her.\u00a0 <\/span>He lit up like the sun.\u00a0 <\/span>That was great to see.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He confided in Dana that when he was downtown watching fireworks, he started to cry.\u00a0 <\/span>He realized it was the first time the three of them were not together for the 4th<\/sup>.\u00a0 <\/span>Colin is a Holiday type of guy and having family together during any of them is very special to him.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Before Chloe made it home Colin had made a welcome home sign and brought flowers for her.\u00a0 <\/span>He took some effort with this.\u00a0 <\/span>Soon after they were together again he had her downstairs playing her new X-Box.\u00a0 <\/span>Unfortunately she didn\u2019t last long.\u00a0 <\/span>It was dinnertime and then she was ready for a nap.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dinner was pretty good for her.\u00a0 <\/span>She ate quite a bit of the lasagna.\u00a0 <\/span>It probably tasted good after the little bit of hospital food she ate.\u00a0 <\/span>It was good to be able to sit at the dinner table with all of us there.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dave and Ramona made it over shortly after Chloe got here.\u00a0 <\/span>We were able to go over the procedures for the pump that we are in charge of now.\u00a0 <\/span>The IV nurse will arrive tomorrow to go over those procedures.\u00a0 <\/span>They are a bit tougher than the feeding tube but we all should be up to task by now.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe also showed Dave and Ramona her Hanna Montana balloon.\u00a0 <\/span>It sings a song when you tap it.\u00a0 <\/span>Well, Chloe isn\u2019t a Hanna fan so she belts the balloon like it\u2019s \u201cFred.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Good anger management techniques I\u2019d say.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe\u2019s temperature was up to 100.1 tonight but that may be due to the meds.\u00a0 <\/span>She was also in a little bit of head pain.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana is watching her like a Mama Loon so I\u2019m sure she will be getting the best of care.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe has a bell and the intercom phone in case Dana dozes off and doesn\u2019t here her requests.\u00a0 <\/span>I won\u2019t be surprised if both sleep through the night, as they won\u2019t have the hoard of medical nuisances waking them up every two hours.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The plan is to keep Chloe home, get her off the feeding tube and PIC line and bring her back to the hospital in three months to make sure the remaining tumor is behaving itself.\u00a0 <\/span>Personally, I see that part of the tumor going away.\u00a0 <\/span>I am believing the next MRI will show nothing there.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s my belief and I\u2019m sticking to it!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
