Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water\u2026\u00a0 <\/span>Today was one of our worst days!\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe woke up nauseous, feverish and in pain and it has gone down hill all day.\u00a0 <\/span>We did pretty well keeping ahead of everything until about 12:30 noon when she threw up her feeding tube again.\u00a0 <\/span>Her temp was 100.4.\u00a0 <\/span>We got her calmed down and called the doctor.\u00a0 <\/span>They were pretty busy but said they would work us in.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At the doctor\u2019s office she continued the nausea and her pain went up.\u00a0 <\/span>When we finally were able to get the nausea medicine in her she was in a lot of head pain.\u00a0 <\/span>So much pain that she vomited hard.\u00a0 <\/span>Then next medicine came as \u201cby mouth\u201d medicine.\u00a0 <\/span>This wasn\u2019t going to work so we had to get it reordered to go in her Pic line.\u00a0 <\/span>This was to calm her down for the tube insertion.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The meds were administered and the tube procedure started.\u00a0 <\/span>There were problems from the start.\u00a0 <\/span>The tube wasn\u2019t cooperating and kept trying to loop the wrong way.\u00a0 <\/span>We gave her a break as she had a sneezing fit.\u00a0 <\/span>The next effort got results.\u00a0 <\/span>The tube went down and the vomit came up, fast.\u00a0 <\/span>The tube stayed in place and true to form Chloe apologized to the nurse for getting sick.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We waited about 20 minutes before bringing her home.\u00a0 <\/span>The ride was uneventful as she slept the whole way, all of about 15 minutes.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

At home she was hot.\u00a0 <\/span>She also exhibited the same problems as the rest of the day.\u00a0 <\/span>Then about 7:30 pm she needed Tylenol.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s too thick to go down the tube so we asked her to try to get some in her.\u00a0 <\/span>She gave us a very suspicious look but tried.\u00a0 <\/span>She got about half down, took a drink of water and threw it all up, including the tube again.\u00a0 <\/span>We decided she wasn\u2019t going through that again tonight and that we would get some dissolving Tylenol for her.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

As we cleaned her up she told Dana \u201cYou do too much for me.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>This tore Dana apart.\u00a0 <\/span>She was wiped out from the previous part of the day but this totally destroyed her.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I went to the store and got the Tylenol and when I walked in the house Dana was on the phone with Dr. Noorwood.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe had a shooting chest spasm while I was away.\u00a0 <\/span>The doctor calmed Dana a bit and told her what she needed to watch for.\u00a0 <\/span>We will be bringing her to the hospital tomorrow morning.\u00a0 <\/span>In the mean time, while I\u2019m over here writing this and taking care of my house and Kitty, she has 911 dialed up and ready to go.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ll be back there before midnight to handle any transportation that might be needed.\u00a0 <\/span>I think it\u2019s going to be a pretty sleepless night.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

What can you do?\u00a0 <\/span>I haven\u2019t a clue.\u00a0 <\/span>I know Karen from Celebration Church is getting with people to see what they would be willing to do.\u00a0 <\/span>If you need to get in touch with her you can send me an email @ <\/span>ronhorton21@msn.com<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m just not sure what we will be in need of.\u00a0 <\/span>We are still trying to figure all that out.\u00a0 <\/span>For now I\u2019d say it\u2019s in your court.\u00a0 <\/span>If you want to help anyone in the family in your own way I\u2019d say go for it.\u00a0 <\/span>Nothing is organized at this point in time.\u00a0 <\/span>Trying to figure out the logistics and the right thing to do is mind-boggling.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

All of this is so back seat to the care of Chloe right now that we are having a hard time thinking about it.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So pray for Chloe, but let me tell you this.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019ve been living with seeing a Mom torn apart.\u00a0 <\/span>She is as strong as anyone could be in this battle.\u00a0 <\/span>Tonight was as low as I\u2019ve seen her since the news of the tumor.\u00a0 <\/span>She just doesn\u2019t know what to do, why this is happening, how to give Chloe hope, how to continue.\u00a0 <\/span>Pray for Dana.\u00a0 <\/span>She needs your prayers.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Come five minutes from now Mama Loon will be back in the game, at full throttle.\u00a0 <\/span>She hasn\u2019t let up for one minute.\u00a0 <\/span>She has never taken anything for granted.\u00a0 <\/span>She has not once believed that we are home free.\u00a0 <\/span>She is fully aware of the seriousness of this situation and is in 100% Chloe protection mode.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s all that matters to her.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m not saying others aren\u2019t concerned and involved, they are.\u00a0 <\/span>What I am saying is that I\u2019ve seen and felt this unconditional commitment by Dana, fully, as only a Mama could give.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
