Yea, Yea, I know, I said I was taking a couple days off from writing.\u00a0 <\/span>But this morning was SOOO exciting I just had to slip a short one in for you.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe had a Doctor\u2019s appointment at 11 am today.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana and I met Lee, Colin and Chloe at the office.\u00a0 <\/span>First up were vitals.\u00a0 <\/span>Good temp, good BP, let\u2019s check the weight.\u00a0 <\/span>On the scale Chloe tipped it at 46.5 pounds!\u00a0 <\/span>This is a high for her.\u00a0 <\/span>49 \u00bd inches tall.\u00a0 <\/span>This was great news for us.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Then Dr. Olsen visited with us and said things were looking good and that we would probably just schedule for three months out for the next visit and MRI.\u00a0 <\/span>Great news.\u00a0 <\/span>We had some questions and all the answers were encouraging.\u00a0 <\/span>We can keep her feeds at 65 ml because she is eating by herself more now.\u00a0 <\/span>We can wean her off of the pain meds, bringing them down to one dose a day vs. two.\u00a0 <\/span>Then Dr. O. said let\u2019s pull the PIC line.\u00a0 <\/span>That scared Chloe a little but she consented.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Next it was Chloe\u2019s turn to quiz the doctor.\u00a0 <\/span>\u201cIf my immune system is doing well\u2026. Can I hold my dragon?\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>The answer, \u201cof course.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe about hit the ceiling with a giant yippee!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The IV line was to be pulled so the nurse came in to do the procedure.\u00a0 <\/span>She used tape dissolver but the tape still pulls a bit.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe was wincing, but when the nurse said \u201cit\u2019s a good thing you don\u2019t have hairy arms,\u201d Chloe piped up, \u201cThat\u2019s because the last IV nurse pulled them all off!\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>We about peed ourselves.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Swamp Fox and Dr. Judy were also there today so we had some good visits with them.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe told S.F. nana nana boo boo, I don\u2019t have to keep my PIC line a month.\u00a0 <\/span>She also made a date with Dr. Judy to go horseback riding.\u00a0 <\/span>Judy is scared to death of horses but consented to go with her.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

After the visit we hit the food fair the hospital was putting on.\u00a0 <\/span>It seemed like every care giver we have had was there to greet Chloe.\u00a0 <\/span>Even our favorite cleaning lady was there with her husband and granddaughter, Shirley.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe, Colin and Lee all had snow cones the size of houses.\u00a0 <\/span>Then we all had a free lunch on the hospital.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s about time something came free from there\u2026..<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019m sure Dave will have a great blog for the afternoon as well.\u00a0 <\/span>These are some great days for Chloe.\u00a0 <\/span>We know there is a long road out there but we are loving the successes of late, I\u2019m sure afforded us by all your prayers and Chloe\u2019s strengths.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
