The news to report regarding Chloe remains twofold. What I, or others report are from a unique and close perspective.\u00a0 <\/span>We all have yet to understand how Chloe is processing, recovering and uniquely wondering what all the fuss is about. <\/span><\/p>\n

I can tell you what I know for sure. This child brought an amazing awareness to four people who otherwise would agree on nothing.\u00a0 <\/span>I bow to this child of ours.\u00a0 <\/span>She came through us and does not belong to us.\u00a0 <\/span>She is of the world.\u00a0 <\/span>I remain steadfast in her healing.\u00a0 <\/span>And this means the four of us remain on the same page, of the same book.\u00a0 <\/span>Can we do this?\u00a0 <\/span>I stand in a yes.\u00a0 <\/span>She did the work, now lets be humbled and move towards her best healing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Colin said to me \u201cMama, I think if you want to be friends with Daddy, you gotta be friends with Ramona\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>I so loved this observation.\u00a0 <\/span>Why not?\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m open.\u00a0 <\/span>I saw Ramona\u2019s gifts in the early days\u2026and I did say to her, \u201cThank you so much for providing the autograph book for Chloe\u2019s hospital doctors, nurses to sign.\u00a0 <\/span>I can\u2019t tell you all how instrumental this was.\u00a0 <\/span>We learned the nicknames of her doctors\/nurses and it made such a strong connection.\u00a0 <\/span>Keep in mind that Chloe was in the hospital for weeks. We made new family there.\u00a0 <\/span>Many nurses cared for her days on end, Nights on end. Thank you Ramona for the book, for taking on extra shifts for Dave to be there in critical times. <\/span><\/p>\n

Grandma Lee.\u00a0 <\/span>Thank you for you.\u00a0 <\/span>You were here during a critical, private time of healing.\u00a0 <\/span>I had some rest time because you were here and I knew all would be ok. <\/span><\/p>\n

Dave.\u00a0 <\/span>We won\u2019t lose our open communication because Chloe opened this door wide. Don\u2019t be so hard on yourself.\u00a0 <\/span>I\u2019m not. <\/span><\/p>\n

Sandy. You own the website called chloewatts.com, and for your vigils HERE at life changing moments, I kiss your feet. <\/span><\/p>\n

Ron.\u00a0 <\/span>I named you Batman but you already knew.\u00a0 <\/span>You love her and I so adore this and more about you.\u00a0 <\/span>The blogs kept others in the know and the healing took place.\u00a0 <\/span>You\u2019ve no idea, if the save her life cards could be dealt, you\u2019d be a wealthy man.\u00a0 <\/span>I know how much you gave.\u00a0 <\/span>Only I know.\u00a0 <\/span>But that\u2019s okay with you, because you are batman.\u00a0 <\/span>He, who does things in silence with no 2nd act or applause. <\/span><\/p>\n

Kevin and Laura.\u00a0 <\/span>Your quiet presence at the critical times; During Chloe\u2019s surgery, her MRIs, filling in at the hospital to provide me with much needed breaks, just your ability to see what was needed ahead of time and providing.\u00a0 <\/span>Staying on top of things.\u00a0 <\/span>I love you both.<\/span><\/p>\n

There is an unsung hero.\u00a0 <\/span>And Him, I\u2019ve been thinking about for days now. \u00a0<\/span>My nephew Jeremy.\u00a0 <\/span>He created this website, Overnight!\u00a0 <\/span>He created a beautiful, newsworthy, forward thinking place for us all to meet.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>I believe and I know, if save her life cards would be dealt,\u00a0 <\/span>he would be amazed at the amount received.\u00a0 <\/span>Jeremy, stop being humble. Nod in the knowing that you made a difference.\u00a0 <\/span>YOU SAVED HER LIFE TOO.\u00a0 <\/span>You put people together in one place to send thoughts\/notes\/prayers\/love.\u00a0 <\/span>You made it happen.\u00a0 <\/span>I so love you.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n

Regina.\u00a0 <\/span>My niece.\u00a0 <\/span>You FELT it.\u00a0 <\/span>The urge to BE nowhere else.\u00a0 <\/span>You made your life different because you loved Chloe.\u00a0 YOU and Jeremy and Kevin and Laura made Colin’s 13th birthday count.<\/span> You cleaned my house when I didn\u2019t care.\u00a0 <\/span>And yet, I care now.\u00a0 <\/span>You left it well.\u00a0 <\/span>You made LIFE count here.\u00a0 <\/span>You know the girl-power of our family line.\u00a0 <\/span>I so adore you and love you. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I weep as I write this, I do.\u00a0 <\/span>And of course I would save best for last. <\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe was scared, and sad\u2026about yesterday\u2019s doctor appt.\u00a0 <\/span>Nothing was resolved about her NG tube.\u00a0 <\/span>Today, there were several phone conversations regarding this to feeding clinic personnel, dieticians etc.\u00a0 <\/span>I called Chloe ASAP to tell her that she can choose an 8-hour time frame during the day to be unhooked from the feeding pump.\u00a0 <\/span>Imagine this. FREEDOM!\u00a0 <\/span>I don\u2019t know what the pump\/backpack weighs but it\u2019s a small load to carry. Her reaction was \u201coh I knew\u201d.\u00a0 <\/span>As if she was waiting for us adults to get it together.\u00a0 <\/span>We have appointments with a dietician\/medical director of the feeding clinic to evaluate where we are at and where Chloe wants to be.\u00a0 <\/span>I sense the importance of having all of this knowledge in place.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe wants a plan to be tube free.\u00a0 <\/span>WE all want that for her.\u00a0 <\/span>Keep in mind, however this has been a lifeline.\u00a0 <\/span>She ate NOTHING for over two weeks.\u00a0 <\/span>And so, bothersome as it may be, the NG tube saved her life as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe, yesterday had a hankering for Schlotkys (restaurant in Tualatin) and so I mentioned the possibility of going there when I see her this weekend.\u00a0 <\/span>Food, for her is medicine and no matter the craving\u2026.strawberry milkshakes from Mikes, Mango smoothies\u2026.we all GO FOR IT. <\/span><\/p>\n

Know what else I know for sure? \u00a0<\/span>Her brother Colin is on top of how to save a life, how to love life, how to sing Christmas carols in July and believe. \u00a0<\/span>He celebrates life like no other. \u00a0<\/span>He made her giggle today as he was following her around while she was on the phone with me, to bug her\u2026.that\u2019s good. \u00a0<\/span>That\u2019s normal. \u00a0<\/span>That HAS to be healing to her. So for you Colin, I give great thanks, great love because you and Chloe get it. \u00a0<\/span>You both GET IT. \u00a0<\/span>Nothing else needs saying. <\/span><\/p>\n

My message is for the children. \u00a0<\/span>You are so beyond we adult types. \u00a0<\/span>Thank you for teaching us to be vulnerable and strong and weak all at the same time. <\/span><\/p>\n
