It\u2019s our first rainy day in quite some time so maybe we all will get a little, well deserved, down time.\u00a0 <\/span>In fact, Ramona\u2019s parents are with the kids today and there are no plans to go out for anything.\u00a0 <\/span>It should be a very nice day at that house with Videos, Water Fights, X-Box and Food.\u00a0 <\/span>Humm\u2026 sounds like a plan to me.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe, Colin, Dave and Ramona had a great time at the coast I hear.\u00a0 <\/span>The water was even warm enough for them to spend a little foot time in the surf.\u00a0 <\/span>And the sun did come out, in-spite-of the weatherman.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The other day poor Colin decided walking barefoot was the cool thing to do as a brand new teenager.\u00a0 <\/span>So he walked up the blacktop road to his friends\u2019 house.\u00a0 <\/span>Later he hobbled down with two burned feet, the day before going to the beach.\u00a0 <\/span>So he did what any new teenager would do, he popped the blisters so he could walk on the beach and in the surf.\u00a0 <\/span>Hate to say it but I am sure I did the same thing around his age.\u00a0 <\/span>Had some pretty tough feet later on.\u00a0 <\/span>And, as far as I\u2019m concerned, there is nothing better for healing a cut or something similar, than the ocean salt water.\u00a0 <\/span>I was raised in Miami.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe had a bag free day again, well, at least eight hours of bag free.\u00a0 <\/span>She is funny.\u00a0 <\/span>When the bag is unhooked there is a line that hangs down past her belt.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s her M.O. now to walk around twirling the tube like a flapper would twirl her bolo.\u00a0 <\/span>She does it so innocently that it just cracks me up.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When Dana called to speak with Chloe today she found her still in bed at 10 A.M.\u00a0 <\/span>That\u2019s a pretty good life of leisure, no guilt.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe said she felt her energy level was coming up but her stomach still feels \u201cun-normal.\u201d\u00a0 <\/span>She didn\u2019t want any Zofran to help with it though.\u00a0 <\/span>This is a good thing.\u00a0 <\/span>She is more and more willing to work through her difficulties rather than just ask for medicine.\u00a0 <\/span>Determination Plus!\u00a0 <\/span>We will see the dietician next week and be able to give her some good information.\u00a0 <\/span>Then we can work on a timeframe to get Chloe off the bag.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe and I talked about drugs the other day.\u00a0 <\/span>She said, \u2018no one will ever have to worry about me taking bad drugs.\u00a0 <\/span>That has to be the most stupid thing anyone could do.\u00a0 <\/span>Why would they want to take drugs they didn\u2019t have to take?\u2019\u00a0 <\/span>This little girl has some of the most mature things come out of her mouth you\u2019d ever want to hear.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This is a long spread of time for Chloe to be away from Mama and she offered that she was a bit sad.\u00a0 <\/span>However, this is something that has gone on since the beginning of her time so we are sure she will do fine.\u00a0 <\/span>Tomorrow she will have a play date at her adopted grandma\u2019s house, Annette, to visit with her best friend Molly.\u00a0 <\/span>They haven\u2019t seen each other since before the hospital visit.\u00a0 <\/span>(Why do they always call it a visit?\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s more like an incarceration.)\u00a0 <\/span>Colin may just have his best friend over there also, Spencer.\u00a0 <\/span>It should be a great day.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Friday both kids will be back home.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s only been a few days but it seems like a month to us.\u00a0 <\/span>I guess the routine was so implanted by the \u201cincarceration\u201d that it will take more time than expected to get back to \u2026 aaaah\u2026 normal?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dana and I had a few normal days.\u00a0 <\/span>Dana was able to work a couple days this week and her office did the welcome back dance for her.\u00a0 <\/span>It warmed Dana\u2019s heart to have that kind of welcome home.\u00a0 <\/span>They are truly a good bunch of people over there.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s a family, and acts just like one from what I witness and hear.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We also were able to get back to the gym for the first couple times in a long time.\u00a0 <\/span>It felt wonderful although the rebuilding does take time.\u00a0 <\/span>Of course, I extended my parameters a bit yesterday and then we went over to Dana\u2019s place and I proceeded to cut down a half dozen trees\u2026 with an axe\u2026 as my trusty estate sale chainsaw wouldn\u2019t start.\u00a0 <\/span>Needless to say I was on Ibuprofen overnight.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

It was a fun time though.\u00a0 <\/span>We had to drop the trees into her neighbor\u2019s yard, with his blessings, so we brought Ivey over to play with the girls, dogs Chloe and Pita, a lab and pit bull.\u00a0 <\/span>They had a ball and found every mud puddle in the newly leveled yard.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Dana is cleaning house and I\u2019m working from my computer again.\u00a0 <\/span>She will be off to work this afternoon and I\u2019ll be trying to sell saxophones and get students to fill my docket.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Chloe and Colin are doing very well.\u00a0 <\/span>As I\u2019ve said before, I\u2019m holding the knowing that Chloe is fully on the road to perfect health.\u00a0 <\/span>The conversations I\u2019ve had with others lately have shown me that I\u2019m not alone in this belief.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a fun story.\u00a0 <\/span>Colin is one of the more spiritual thirteen year olds you will meet, but, because of his age, he doesn\u2019t feel it is cool to admit to believing in God.\u00a0 <\/span>So, the other day, he was at the house and Chloe was listening to our conversation.\u00a0 <\/span>I said, \u2018If there was ever a time of proof about the existence of God it would have been the Monday after Black Saturday.\u2019\u00a0 <\/span>The turnaround that Chloe made could not be attributed to anything other than the influx of prayers that came forward after my Saturday night blog.\u00a0 <\/span>She is living proof there is a God.\u2019<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With this Chloe lite up, put her hands over her head in a V, and danced around singing \u2018I\u2019m the proof there\u2019s a God.\u00a0 <\/span>Oh yea, I\u2019m the proof!\u2019\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>We all had a good laugh over that.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
