I’d like to be able to say I’m once again clear on the dates, but I’m not.\u00a0 Still checking the calendar or others for confirmation on this.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

During my lunch hour, I dropped by to ‘visit’ my kids.\u00a0 Somehow this doesn\u2019t sound right but this is how we live.\u00a0 Colin and Chloe were at Annette\u2019s today for Chloe\u2019s ‘first’ PLAYDATE with a friend in a long time.\u00a0 Colin was with his best friend, Spencer also!\u00a0 Yippee!\u00a0\u00a0 They’ve been at Dad and Ramona\u2019s house having a great time all week.\u00a0 I’m looking forward to them being here for the weekend.\u00a0 Ivey, our dog would like someone other than the cat across the fence to ‘arf’ at.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

I found Chloe and Molly swinging from a homemade swing in the open-air\u00a0garage.\u00a0 Was good to witness the smiles from two friends who knew before we did, they were destined for this day. Chloe, as per the other blog was twirling the NG tube like a baton over her head and around her.\u00a0 Later this old saying hit me, one we all know.\u00a0 When life hands you lemons, make lemonade.\u00a0\u00a0 Oh my goodness, rather than hunching over having a pity party this child is twirling her tube like a toy.\u00a0 If we could all make friends with our nemesis like this, Peace would be our\u00a0reality rather than a\u00a0hope for change.\u00a0 Imagine!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In speaking to Chloe I am still more than concerned about what she tells me about her tummy.\u00a0 It’s kinda like nausea, kinda like pain…it goes away but lasts a long time.\u00a0 Okay, call me over protective but I’m thinking this is still not ok.\u00a0I have asked Chloe to pay attention to perhaps what makes her tummy feel better and for that matter, what makes it feel worse.\u00a0 She did say she is slowing down on eating (by mouth).\u00a0I have a feeling if I am able to contact the dietician before the weekend, she may suggest something before our appointment next week, which may give Chloe some kind of relief.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

These are good days, yes.\u00a0 And yet, I want the moon.\u00a0 I want no nausea, no pain, nothing short of ‘feeling groovy” for this child of ours.\u00a0 Why stop now?\u00a0\u00a0 I want Colin\u2019s 13th birthday back too.\u00a0 So okay, we don\u2019t always get what we want, but until we ask…..or ‘re-create’ what was lost, then there\u2019s no room for complaining.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0There’s simply, no time for complaining either.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

On that note,\u00a0I think I found the new family theme song tonight (we only have about 10 of them…)\u00a0I first heard it while Chloe was in the hospital \u2018cause I tried sneaking this young guitar player into the PICU (pediatric intensive care) so he could sing it for Chloe.\u00a0 That didn\u2019t work.\u00a0 It was a ‘drat’ moment and yet, this song inspired me that day….\u00a0Today, on Kink radio, they not only played it but also announced the name of it.\u00a0 I’m Yours by Jason Moran (sp?)\u00a0 I was in the hospital calling it the ‘Love’ song.\u00a0 Chloe will love it.\u00a0 Stay tuned, she’s a showstopper.\u00a0 As if you didn\u2019t already know.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
