\u2018The road to recovery is long and harrowed\u2019\u2026 Not for Chloe.\u00a0 <\/span>Not this lil\u2019 firecracker.\u00a0 <\/span>She is doing such good work toward rebuilding that she could be her own Olympics all by herself.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday she and Mama went for a walk with Ivey, to the schoolyard.\u00a0 <\/span>Spinning her NG tube like a bolo in between all of the running, swinging, sliding, etc., shows how fast her strength is coming back.\u00a0 <\/span>She does complain of a \u201cdifference in the way her right foot and leg work\u201d but we aren\u2019t seeing it ourselves.\u00a0 <\/span>I wouldn\u2019t be surprised if there is though, since she didn\u2019t use her legs much for two months.\u00a0 <\/span>Mine wouldn\u2019t work the same right away either.<\/span><\/p>\n

It seems Aunt Laura was there for dinner last night and into the wee hours.\u00a0 <\/span>She probably stayed longer than expected just trying to dry out from the syringe dousing Chloe has become famous for.\u00a0 <\/span>Didn\u2019t she ever hear the one about \u201cdon\u2019t bite the hand that feeds you?\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Yesterday she also had a nice visit from her former teacher Barb and Barb\u2019s 10 year old son, Sam.\u00a0 <\/span>Apparently Sam and Chloe were quite patient as Dana and Barb visited\u2026\u00a0 <\/span>The stuffed tiger from the zoo made the time pass quicker I\u2019m sure.\u00a0 <\/span>Aaaarrrgggg\u2026.. another stuffed animal!!!! Ha ha.\u00a0 <\/span>She has her own zoo.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Today our lil\u2019 Chloe is Nurse Chloe, as Dana finally admitted that she is sick.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s been coming on all week and today was a hit the bed and stay there kind of day.\u00a0 <\/span>Chloe loves to fulfill the helper role.\u00a0 <\/span>Colin does a good share as well, especially when he\u2019s allowed to make dinner.\u00a0 <\/span>I think he will turn out to be a chef someday.\u00a0 <\/span>Between eating and preparing he has all the necessities and qualities.\u00a0 <\/span>As for Chloe, I think she\u2019s going to be Whatever She Wants To Be and not have much trouble becoming her wish.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

So we continue our good news journey with the thanks to all our supporters.\u00a0 <\/span>We may need a lawyer though, to figure out all the various bits of paperwork the hospital, doctors, labs, etc., are sending daily.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s always amazing to me that they can\u2019t just pile them all into one big bill, send it, let us pay the deductible, and then divvy it up with the insurance money.\u00a0 <\/span>Can you say \u201cover and above the usual and customary charges\u2026?\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Oh well, life, thank goodness, does go on, and so will we.\u00a0 <\/span>We offer many thanks to all of you for sticking by us throughout these rocky times.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
