Today I watched Untamed & Uncut on Animal planet. Then a story came up where a baby elephant was pushed into a water trough. He landed on his back. He was there for a while before the perimedic came. The perimedic tied a tow rope to the baby elephant’s front legs. He tied the other end to the tow hitch. Then he drove his car a little, which helped the baby sit up. He didn’t hesitate, he jumped out of the trough, and the further he walked the looser the rope got. Soon he was free. He looked back only once, then he rushed to his mother and the herd.

Awwww, so glad they were able to save the baby elephant. Wish i’d seen it. I’ll bet that was sweet to watch, and i’m sure that mom was very greatful. When the baby looked back, it was probably it’s way to say, “thank you for saving me”….do you think ?

I agree with Kat, probably a gesture of saying thankyou. we all need someone to give us a hand once in awhile, sometimes its a rope, sometimes words of wisdom, sometimes a hug. Hope you have a great 2009!
