Because We Love Her

January 24th, 2010 Posted in Daily News Post

Here’s a morning update because it’s so good. Chloe went to sleep at 11 PM. Overnight I suctioned her twice around 2 AM. She didn’t wake up. About 6:30 she needed some more suction and barely woke up. Aside from one bathroom break she’s been asleep all night and it’s 10 AM now. Still no signs of rousing her.

Dr. Shih had made the decision to keep her off the vent all night and see how it went. Score another one for Doctor Funny. I’m thinking we sell the ventilator on Ebay!

Everyone have a great day. We are planning on it here!

    GREAT NEWS!!!

WE gotta give the credit where its due…yesterdays nurse, Rae Ann actually thought of the idea to keep chloe on the ‘mist collar’ and lose the vent..she suggested it to us and I so appreciate when the staff hears us say, Think of “Out of the box” treatments and decisions when thinking of Chloe…this is when best results happen.

Yipee!!! To RaeAnn, To Dr Shih for seeing the idea as right now ready chloe?…then pouncing on it.

Hey… guess who came to visit? Jake and Patty. I just learned that Jake (aka Chester) and Chloe share the same birthday. He’s eyeing Chloe’s little yellow ball… go figure.

Hey bloggies: I think I have found the center of the universe – Chloe’s room. Jake and Patty had just left when Marie, Spencer, and Noah showed up. It’s been a nice afternoon.

I love this, every one is having a great day today, and I am looking forward to hearing more of the same tomorrow.

Sounds like a great group of visitors today….I’ll go check Daniel’s Schedule for next week and maybe we can swing a visit. Maybe bring Kat.

In answer to Dana’s question: is it too aggressive to let Chloe bless the machine and then smash it: No, I don’t think it is!

Thank you for the great news — this is sunshine of the best quality!
