Because We Love Her

Dad and Grandma’s Blog. July 21, 2008

July 21st, 2008 Posted in Daily News Post

In talking with Chloe about the blog this evening, she told us “There is no bad news to report tonight!”  When Grandma got up this morning, Chloe was eating breakfast and ready to get on with the day.

Grandma took Colin and Chloe to the Goodwill today for some summer wear, considering she will be growing out of everything else she already wears, and she got some really cute stuff!  Colin didn’t find any clothes, but he did come out with a movie, The Sims pc game and Mind Trap II.  We’ll have to try again, cause his shorts are a bit snug.

Chloe is going to see the pediatrician tomorrow, and still hoping like crazy the feeding tube stays behind…gotta see what the doctor says.  She’s even trying to con Grandma into taking it out before they get to the doctors office tomorrow.  Her reasoning…”Dr Shardy said it could stay out if it happened to come out before the appoitment!”  The little bugger is back and in full form.

Nothing more to report here.  Thanks again for your support.

While we all would love to see the feeding tube go away as soon as possible, I hope Chloe’s hopes are not too high.

The doctors told us on Friday that “if the tube comes out over the weekend you don’t have to rush right over to have it put in right away. You have an appointment on Tuesday anyway.” That doesn’t sound like the tube is coming out or would have stayed out to me.

This feeding tube, although a pain to have in, is the one big source of Chloe’s recovery of weight and energy. We don’t want to slide backwards one inch. So if that means keeping the tube in for the two months they planned, I’m all for it.

For all of you who have been following this blog and praying for our Chloe I applaud you and send each and every one of you love. You are the non-medical reason for Chloe’s current run of successes.

    Blessings, Ron

    Chloe,

Woof….woof….woof…today I mailed you a pillow case with my pals on it to match your doggy blanket! Sometimes those humans come in handy! Sending some very wet – sloppy licks!
